bait_ball_exm_201002The squid have contuniued to run in the gulf with reports coming in to the shop that Learmonth Jetty has had the squid show up on the high tide. A good sized cobia was hooked there too, but it had a healthy release when the hooks pulled right beside the jetty. Spangled emperor around the west side on the incoming tide has also been continuing with a few medium sized fish attacking...

sailfish_exm_1001In the deeper waters dolphin fish have been prevalent along with the odd black marlin. Big blue marlin tend to show up at this time of year and the sailfish are still playing around in the gulf. according to one angler in a tinny off Bundegi reef.
