Something we have been working on quite a bit is our Facebook page. We update this daily with specials, competitions, fishing reports and photos.

We are also completely rebuilding the back end of the online store. This is a very laborious task but will be well worth it when finished! This is expected to be completed in January. Why not head over to our online store and grab yourself a bargain for Christmas.
Summer time is almost upon us. Download the latest Jarvis Walker/Tackle World catalogue and stock up for what looks to be a great summer of fishing!

Isn’t it amazing how quickly this year has disappeared? Not that long ago, Perth was in the middle of the best pelagic season in years! The good news is that this season is already shaping up to be as good, if not better. Spanish mackerel are already being seen behind Rottnest, tuna schools have been sighted and the water temperature is up above 20 degrees. All we need is the bait schools to move in and the action will hot up again.
We are also into the 2nd month of the demersal ban in WA but that hasn’t led to a drop in fishing. samson fish, amberjack's and yellowtail kingfish all seem to be on fire in various depths of water. Fish from 3kg's all the way through to 40kg bruisers have been caught and released. This is expected to continue. One of the more innovative ways people have been catching these bruisers is stick baits. The Swan River has been fishing very well for squid, black bream and flathead. Tide changes seem to be the crucial part to catching fish. If chasing squid, don't forget to take a couple of spare jigs as juvenile samson fish are collecting their fair share of jigs! Mulloway have also been very good this November and it is expected to carry through December. As always look for full/new moons. Exmouth reports
Wind, wind and more wind was the story in Exmouth this past week. For those with larger boats or for the smarter skipper reading the ever changing winds, fish were on the bite. Deeper waters offshore have still been producing good numbers of billfish and sailfish in the gulf have been a popular choice for many sports fishing anglers. With weather conditions so unpredictable land based fishing has been the preferred option. Good numbers of spangled emperor have been reported and some impressive captures have occurred along the west side. Be sure to respect the sanctuary zones and remember the legal size for spangled emperor is 41cm. Dawn and dusk is good for these species and with the warmer weather, it’s a nice start or end to the day. There have been plenty of tuna in the gulf, along with the odd cobia cruising the back of Bundegi reef. If you have a small tinny and can get out from Bundegi between the southerlies of a morning and afternoon, it is a short run to the ramp from the fishing grounds. In that area you can anchor up and berley for emperor and get the odd inquisitive trout or cobia cruising past. Queenfish seem to be ever present and will take to a small live hardy head or small fast popper or minnow.
